We’re right at home in a green screen studio
— and expectedly —
we’ve been shooting live action scenes composited into digital worlds for nearly 10 years!
The chroma key process allows the background — typically green — to be replaced, or “keyed out” with still or video images, whether live action or any flavor of CGI.
These virtual backgrounds, or “plates“, are composited with your footage or any other media.
You can see below that we shot the Tripadvisor Owl on a chair in a green screen studio and composited the footage with the “plate” — made up of both the hotel room wall and the city view!
